Recurring weekly calendars

Situation: Recurring calendar event. Set up a tag titled "done" and right clicked the appointment for this week. Chose "instance" instead of "series" and added the tag. However, the tag was applied to all recurring weekly appointments.


Is this a bug or a misunderstanding of tagging?

PS: After I posted this I did find another thread in users about this situation but that person had received no response.
