I used Mozilla Thunderbird as desktop mailing, all my mails in sever downloaded locally into thunderbird (POP3 Configured in Thunderbird). Then i realized that all my mails transffered from Thunderbird into Server. I then deleted the POP3 account without saving all my emails on the server and reopen an IMAP aacount. And all my emails in the inbox are gone. I am now are crazy. Anyone have any ideas that I can retreive my emails? Thank you thank you thank you!

Welcome to the forums

I presume they have all gone from Thunderbird aswell then ? If so only cause of action will be to restore your account on the server.

Default Thanks

Thank you! I am new to Thunderbrid too.
Yes, all mails are gone from Thunderbird and my email server.

But how can I restore my account on the server?

I actually first downloaded all my emails into local folder. But afterward I clicked delete emails more than 30 days, so all I have in local folder is emails within 30 days. If you can provide me with some info on how to restore deleted emails from local folder, that will solve my problems too.

I appreciate your reply!

Do you manage the Zimbra server or does a third party handle it for you ? If you have the emails in a folder then connect to your IMAP account and copy them into it. It should then sync them back up to the server.

Default I use a third part email server

I use a third part email server, which is school email server. Also, all I have in my local folder is mails within 30 days, so if I transffered them into my inbox, I still lost majority of emails. What do you think? Thanks for your advice!

I think you should speak to your IT department, explain what has happened, and ask them to restore your account.
