Default Zimbra-LDAP for authentication to other software

Hello,

it is possible to use the Zimbra-LDAP-Server for user-authentications in another software which is placed on another server in another network? I want to use the Zimbra-LDAP for TYPO3-Login, which is installed an another externel server.

Thanks for your help.

I'm looking at doing similarly for Bugzilla. Pretty much anyone who would need access to Bugzilla has an account in my implementation of Zimbra already.

Advice is greatly appreciated.

There's no reason why you can't use Zimbra for authentication from other applications, it an openLDAP server in use by Zimbra.
