Question Mail filtering host

Hi and TIA

I've been battling this situation for a few weeks now, and am now at the make or break point.

Zimbra does not filter attachments on a per user basis, and the option it was sugested was to look into amavis, but that didnt get very far, and honestly, its not a regular amavis, packaged with zimbra, and i dont want to change that too much as I plan to be able to upgrade to the greatest and latest version of zimbra about 6 months or so.

So another solution is to user another email server to filter the attachements on a per user basis and forward all emails to the zimbra server, so I'm looking for ideas on this matter.

The new server would have to be my first on the mx records priority, and zimbra de second (I Guess).

But at any rate, the mail server needs to get the email, filter the attachements, and forward all messages to the zimbra server.

Can anyone comment on that?

PS it does not need to act as a relay for outgoing messages, just receiving.

Rodrigo.

I've played with iRedmail - that might be an option.

I've used iredmail to DKIM sign outgoing messages, and it worked great in that application. iredmail has amavisd, but a stock version.
