Unhappy [SOLVED] Archiving outbound mail

Hi All,

We are currently evaluating the archive and discovery component of NE and can't seem to be able to archive outbound mail for the account. Some googling refers to bcc'ing however this is at a global scale and not on a per user account basis.

Can anyone give me advice on how I can go about doing this without having to add a filter rule on each users pc?

Any advice is appreciated!

Shannon

Postfix supports Milter.

Postfix now supports milter | Security Viewpoints

You could try using Mimedefang once you have milter working for you. Mimedefang can help you add it on the fly for each user.

'am not sure whether postfix comes with milter support in Zimbra .

Also , whether Zimbra wud support it after you have enabled is another issue altogether.

An alternative to ZAD is MailArchiva - Email Archiving.

Zimbra Archive & Discovery will archive all inbound and outbound mail, have you checked the Documentation?

hah! Thanks Bill, I actually did read the doco but reading it again I realised my users were emailing from a legacy domain and not the new domain we switched to when we went to Zimbra. Because the From: address wasn't matching the one in Zimbra it wasn't being archived.

Archiving works a charm once I changed their From address! Thanks again
