Thumbs down Anti-virus and document sharing

Hello, I want to use Zimbra to share several documents with Internet User for my job. I don't want use the e-mail to receive the documents but use Zimbra like a web portail where my client put there files (via http). But I wonder if Zimbra scan also the document uploading via http connexion or stock in the database. In the documentation and the forum I only see ClamAv for the MTA but never to sharing documents.
Could you explain me how I can do a scanning with ClamAV on these sharing documents ?

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the forums

Please vote for Bug 32298 - Documents are not scanned for virus.

Also, would you be so kind as to update your profile with the following output so we know which version of ZCS you are running.
Code:
su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v

I don't think that it is a Bug in Zimbra.

I would know if ClamAV, the anti-virus, scan the documents in the document case when the documents are putting not via MTA mecanisme but via http.
because I only read that Zimbra scan the documents when are send or received by e-mail.

Is ti a functionnality or not of Zimbra ?

Sincerely

That is what the RFE above is all about .. If you upload a document via HTTP ideally it should first put it in a staging area, virus scan it, and then move it into the briefcase.

But if I well understand what you say: All document are scanning before move it into the briefcase. So I have 2 other questions:
- where is the staging area ?
- The scan of the document is automatic or you must configure something to the virus scan ?

The option to scan documents that are uploaded to the Documents folder on your server does not currently exist, if you want to see that feature added then vote on the RFE.
