Default /tmp is full keep getting alerts

I keep getting alerts that /tmp is 81% full - what can be done? Can I just delete the files here? Are they needed? Is there some rotation / cleaning process that isn't running that should be? This is 5.013 network connected edition.

Please update your forum profile with the output of:

Code:
zmcontrol -v
It's difficult to advise you without any details of what files are in there and how big they are.

Ok profile updated.

Files there - are install logs, a LOT of: pThumb0b6DFe type files, a fair number of: zmcontrol.status.BFrU9 type files, and a few zmsetup.01001900-0000160074976.log type files.

I don't think the pThumb0b6DFe files are anything to do with Zimbra, you can delete zmsetup & install log files as far back as you like. I suppose the question would be, why is your temp directory only 2GB is size? You really should have a look at the disk that the directory is on and see if there's any other space hogs on there.

Ok thank you! I removed hte pThumb* files and all is fine. I will contact rackspace about why the /tmp is only 2gb.

Thanks again!
