Default TLS vs SSL

Which security protocol should I use, TLS or SSL?

What are the pros/cons for each of them?

I think I shall just hum along to myself today Though Outlook does say SSL for connections so putting TLS may confuse people. Far to many TLAs in IT

For forum searchers:

TLS is only supported in Outlook 2003 with Office SP2+ Installed!
