Moving from Red Hat to Debian

Hi, I am looking to move my zimbra server from 1 DMZ zone to another one, and in that process I will set up a new server for Zimbra. Also in this process I want to test backup and restore, thus I will set up a clean server from scratch and restore the users and mail.

However, I am also consiering moving from Red Hat to Debian, and are wondering if thats doable when running open source edition, without having to recreate all users, domains and then use 2rd party tools like imampsync or similar.

Yeah, thats what I was hoping to avoid.. Sync one and one user, I have about 10 domains and 60 users, I would like to move all domains and all users.. I obviously have a backup, but I fear that the backup has lot of config and binary files from red hat that I dont need..
