Default calling backupUtil from a remote server

I've written a java program to create and delete zimbra accounts from a remote server which maintains all of our account information for the various systems including AD and Zimbra. I'd like to be able to backup a mailbox before I delete the account from Zimbra. All I need is the mailbox, the rest of the information can be recreated if the account was deleted by mistake.

The zmbackup utility uses a jar file, /opt/zimbra/lib/ext/backup/zimbrabackup.jar, and calls 'com.zimbra.cs.backup.BackupUtil, but I can't find any information or source code for it.

My question is: Can I call the BackupUtil class from a remote server like I do with the soapProvisioning Create Account and Delete Account commands?
