Default Permissions Conflicts with Shared Calendars and iSync connector

Hi,
One of our users has a whole bunch of Apple systems configured with Zimbra and the Zimbra connector. There are a few calendars that are shared with viewer permissions with some of the users in the domain.
Some users keep getting permissions errors when syncing these calendars.

The behavior that seems to take place is:

- the connector runs the schedule sync and finds conflicts between the data on the local system and the data on the server

- the user then tries to reconcile those conflicts by choosing the correct Event information as prompted by Conflict Resolver application

- after that the syncing resumes again and the next error message is something like "This item could not be synced because you do not have the required rights on the folder. To get back in sync, you will need to do a reset sync."

(I'll try to post a picture of this error)
Of course the reset sync doesn't solve the issues. I know the user doesn't have permissions because the calendar is shared with Viewer permissions. But what why is the iCal or the connector or whatever trying to modify the calendar?

Is anybody seeing this anywhere else?

Most of the users reporting this error are running Mac OSX 10.4.11.

I believe the Zimbra connector version is either 5.0.2 or 5.0.7
The server is running 5.0.10

Any help will be appreciated. I can post select logs.
