Default Looking for a recovery service - ZCS

I have had a bad day. I have had my ZCS server crash. I have all of the entire Zimbra folder off of the dead hdd. What I want to know is if there is a service or company out there that can take this Zimbra installation and extract all the messages from it. I would like to ship my backup to a company and have them extract my mail to outlook PST files. I have tried to do an upgrade from this folder on a new server that I built. Its telling me that the ldap database is corrupt.

I could type all day, but I'd rather just get someone either on the phone to help me or ship this backup to them.

Does this exist? Does Zimbra offer this type of service?

You could do it yourself with a modest amount of effort. Do you have a backup of your Zimbra /opt/ directories? Which release/version of Zimbra are you using? What state is your server in? Does it boot, does Zimbra fail to start or what?

the server was CentOS 5. I had 2 250GB drives in a RAID 1 array. Both drives dumped at the same time. I was able to mount one of the drives and get the entire message store off.

I was able to convert all the extensions to .eml. After that, it was a breeze to get the mail into Vista mail then exported to Outlook.

But yeah, I was looking for anything. I have a backup script that shuts off Zimbra and copies the entire /opt/zimbra folder to a secure location.

I am still curious to know if anyone offers this type of service.

thanks!

I see from your other thread that you've fixed it, glad that worked. Reinstalling and getting your backup loaded doesn't take long and is relatively painless.

I must admit I don't know if anyone offers a recovery service, I'm sure that someone will post if they know of a service.
