Default Mail certification

Hello, actually in Italy was approved a law that requires email certification:
Posta Elettronica certificata obbligatoria per tutti
for Public Company, Corporate and Professionist.

It's possible to enable, integrate and use certification of mail with Zimbra?
Thank you

If it is the case of adding a tag line to all emails then you could do it using Adding a disclaimer (altermime) or footer - Zimbra :: Wiki.

Hello everyone, before thanks Zimbra to exists !!

For johjoh2k "the email certification" in Italy is very complex, is not a simple signature or discalimer.

Here you can find the official documents: http://www.cnipa.gov.it/site/it-it/A...ficata__(PEC)/

I think is not possible to integrate with Zimbra, but you need to create a specific mail server with a modified postfix or other MTA.

Sorry I don't speak Italian ... Could you provide a rough description of what would need to be done ? We may be able to help you set it up then.

Default How it works

At the bottom there's a ppt in english with a simple funcional schema.

There's also an open source project OpenPEC - Posta Elettronica Certificata with the process well described in english.

Thanks for your interest.

Seacom and Exentrica (former OpenPec developer team) have worked to integrate OpenPec and Zimbra; it works, but to be able to have a certified email with legal value, you need to become a Cnipa registered provider.

If you simply need a Pec client you can't use ZWC, but you can use YZD.

Default Italian PEC (Electronic Certified Post) and Zimbra

Nowadays Zimbra can access a PEC mailbox for reading, simply adding an external account and configuring it to point to the right POP3s or IMAPs server and giving the required credentials (of course) ...

Sending a PEC mail through Zimbra web client is impossible, as the use of an external sending server is not taken into account.

As far as I can see, it would be simple to make ZWC a PEC enabled client, simply adding an optional external SMTP(s) server to the "external account" tab; this way ZWC should not use the current zimbra user as the real sender (and so being rejected by a PEC server) but simply open an smtps connection with the PEC server, using the PEC account credentials and sending the mail through the PEC SMTP server, directly.

Such enhancement would be very very appreciated by my company, and in Italy. So please, put it in the TODO list of the zimbra development team, with a quite high priority.

Thank you in advance

The appropriate place for an enhancement request is in bugzilla that will get the attention of the developers, not the forums. You will also find, if you search bugzilla that there's already a request for this enhancement, you can vote on RFEs if you choose.

Hi phoenix,
thanks for your quick answer, I had opened a support ticket too, being contacted by a Zimbra guy telling me about the already present RFE ..

I had searched in the support, but I wasn't able to find the other RFE before ..

I "cross posted" to the forum too, becouse this trhead is the only resource easily found google-ing, so I hope other ppl could have life simpler reading my precisations here

For other googlers refernece the Request For Enhancement link is Bug 14526 – Support for using outbound SMTP server for identities

Please, VOTE it !!!

Hi,
Like gmail actually do,
My company needs a web client that can send an e-mail using multiple SMTP (SSL) server.
Do you know other open source software that they have this ability?

regards
dev
