Default inconsisten briefcase links

I've searched the forums etc. and not found any help or information re: this, so sorry if I'm being redundant....

I've just started playing with the briefcase. I'm using 5.0.12_GA_2789.UBUNTU8_64.

In the briefcase, files are linked using inconsistent url's. In some cases the url uses "http", and in others "https". When mode is set to https, some of the links are still http (!) and do not work. When mode is set to redirect, the same links are set to http but now work (presumably because they are redirected).

From my observation, the file icons are linked to http, however in the pane view the longhand url in the second pane uses https when in redirect mode.

IMHO when modes are set to any http-deprecated/disabled mode, the links should *all* be https, and in any case whichever links are used, they should *work*.

Is this a bug, or done by design? Should I file a bug report, or perhaps it's a known issue?

pebcomputing,

Did you ever get a resolution to your problem?

I'm seeing the same inconsistencies. It's not only on the 'Briefcase,' but sometimes also on 'Documents.' I've also experienced the same issues when in the admin portal. Sometimes when clicking on 'view mail' it will redirect to http, when in fact it should do https.

bdial,

To the best of my knowledge we haven't installed a second web server, other than what is installed by Zimbra, so I don't think that's my problem. I'll look into it, though.

Thanks for the tip.
