Default Is clam av killing my server..

could anybody help on this...I've been running the zimbra 5.09 on ubuntu 8.04 for last 2 weeks..but now It's taking a very long time to log in to the webmail and the admin console..and also while checking the antivirus/spam activity ..the figure in the graph shows high spam activity(amavis spam count) ..is my server spammed???..could anybody help on this......

Check /var/log/zimbra.log for any erroneous activity.

well thanks for the reply ..while executing the command you've provided I'm getting the following reply:

zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_invalid_hostname
zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_non_fqdn_sender

can you please comment on that.

I would recommend that you have a read through Wiki :: Improving Anti-Spam System and implement some of the methods as this will help to improve your system. Especially using some of the RBLs as this will reject SPAM at the Postfix level and hence reduce the load on your system.

I would highly recommend implementing the RBL from Barracude Central as I have seen a large reduction in the amount of SPAM that makes it through the perimeter services.
