Default [SOLVED] Submission port 587

I have been using the submission port 587 in release 5.11 after editing the master.cf file. In ver. 5.12 when I edit the /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/master.cf file and run postfix reload the changes I make to the file are removed. I can not send through port 587.

Any idea why this might be happening.

thanks

Welcome to the forums

Make the change to /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/master.cf.in and then restart

Folks,
I have same problem here - I did changed ~/master.cf file with proper "587submission line", restarted postfix and seems like master.cf file changed back to original. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

btw: what is the reason to have this master.cf.in file??
first - I thought it's check the syntax, but seems like it's not a case...

.in files act like includes ... when you start ZCS it reads those files and uses them in combination with configuration stored within ZCS itself. It then writes out master.cf for reading by Postfix. That is why they are over-written each time you start ZCS.

Does the .in file get saved cross upgrades?

No, it doesn't. If you want this to be available over upgrades vote for the RFE to add 587 as an enabled submission port.
