Default File attachment / associations

Hi,

When users try to open file attachments they only get the option to save only. This mainly happens with .PDF and openoffice documents.

I have installed the Adobe reader plugin and it works fine when using Firefox for browsing the internet and clicking a link in a web page.

I have also installed the Openoffice mozilla plugin and the only one that works is .xls

OS = Redhat EL 5.2 x86_64
Firefox = 3.0.5
Openoffice = 3

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

Opening a PDF file works for me using this add-on, I also don't have any problems opening any other OpenOffice documents. Do you have any other add-ons that may be causing a problem?

Yes, and Windows and itw oorks fine in both environments. Try using the add-on I've mentioned above instead of the on you currently use and see if that makes a difference.

PDF is now prompted but OO still says save only.

Only problem with PDF fix is having to get all users to install it.

The one I had installed is the official Adobe plugin and the problem is Zimbra does not reference either the Adobe or Add on you posted the OS is taking over?
