Hello, I have a problem (sometimes, not always) when I send a new email or when I forward some emails that contains attachments, email arrives but the attachment doesn't.
Here is some information about this:

I think that was a problem with amavis, I try disabling it but I got the same result.
Also I try to add this:

$bad_header_quarantine_to = undef;
$final_bad_header_destiny = D_PASS;
$defang_bad_header = 1;

to /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf.in , but again I got the same.

The version of zimbra is Open Sourcce 5.0.11 running in a Debian 4.0 distribution.

What type of attachment is it ? Have you checked /var/log/zimbra.log for any error messages ?

The attachment is a .doc file (Microsoft Word).
I checked the zimbra.log and I see this

Looking at the headers I see

BAD HEADER, MIME error: error: part did not end with expected boundary

which to me sounds like the email is being munged. Does this happen on both inbound and outbound emails ? Are you emails going through a firewall or anything like that ?

It only happens in outbound emails. There isn't a firewall betwen the emails. The email that I send is local, it never go out to internet.

Are you able to replicate this or is it just sporadic ? When it does happen if you send the same document again will it do the same thing ? Just wondering whether it is something in the document though the error message would imply some sort of communication issue due to the MIME element being chopped off.

It's really extrange, I try again with the same attachment and now, it works.
