IM and right click on addresses issue

I came across a strange problem. For SOME users if I turn on the IM feature, right clicking on addresses is broken. The right click menu opens briefly but it seems to do so under the left panel (the folders, etc, panel), you can only see its edge in the narrow adjustable devider between the panels.

Has anyone else seen this?

What browser are they using and O/S ? Have you tried clearing the cache on those users systems ?

Actually one of those users is me

It seems to be entirely config related. It happens in IE and FF, on multiple machines, even on a machine I never used. Clearing cache doesnt help. At the same time, other users don't see this problem. Turning the IM feature on and off, makes the right click on address break or fix, any number of times.
