Default [SOLVED] Daily Message

Every time I log into my system with SSH I get the following message. I was wondering how I can make it not generate a mail message.

Message 1:
From root@server.local Fri Jan 30 06:39:37 2009
Envelope-to: root@server.local
Delivery-date: Fri, 30 Jan 2009 06:39:37 -0600
From: root@server.local (Cron Daemon)
To: root@server.local
Subject: Cron <root@server> test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily )
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ANSI_X3.4-1968
X-Cron-Env: <SHELL=/bin/sh>
X-Cron-Env: <PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin>
X-Cron-Env: <HOME=/root>
X-Cron-Env: <LOGNAME=root>
Date: Fri, 30 Jan 2009 06:39:37 -0600

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
Stopping logswatch...logswatch is not running.
Starting logswatch...done.
Stopping swatch...swatch is not running.
Starting swatch...done.
Stopping zmmtaconfig...done.
Starting zmmtaconfig...done.

Well you could check the /etc/cron.daily/logrotate script and modify it so that the output is directed to /dev/null ?

...

actually you are right when answering the first post.... I misread the post, I thought MTecknology was complaining about what was IN the message, not about THE message!

I just care about understanding why it says "not running" instead of "done" when trying to stop it!

Should have pointed it out before... sorry!

Default Modified File

I modified the file to look like this instead. I'm not sure why the script is like it is by default...

#!/bin/sh

test -x /usr/sbin/logrotate && /usr/sbin/logrotate /etc/logrotate.conf 2>&1
exit 0

It is O/S configured so I guess they wanted the Administrator to know what has happened
