Default Questions on Moving from OSS to NE edition

Firstly.. i love the OSS version.. but management loves MS OUTLOOK (a little bunch of MS freaks)... so more than likely i would be doing a pruchase of NE edition to do a crossover..

Questions i have are :
1)Would it make sense to do a backup and a fresh install of OS on the email server with all the updates ?

2)The mobile gateway module.. does that push the email via the internet or a mobile provider ?

3)Does zimbra calendar work well with outlook ?

4)Are the added features in NE worth the upgrade from OSS ? (look at a cost benefit analyst)

5)Is the web interface the same in NE as in OSS ?

thats all i can think of for now..

O/S updates or ZCS ? You can upgrade directly to NE and keep all your FOSS settings.

If you mean like iPhones etc then it will push across the Internet, otherwise if BlackBerry you will require a BES infrastructure for OTA sync.

I believe it works well, sorry I am pure Ajax client

Online backups, mobile etc etc ... IMHO well worth it

Only differences would be the additional features NE has.

Why not stand up a seperate server with a sub-domain and install the trial NE ... that way you can see the benefits for yourself
