Toaster: Default mail client not configured

MS Word, Adobe Acrobat (reader/standard/pro), and right click Send To Mail Recipient all get an error. I get this message for everything except mailto html links. Those without Office get a message saying something to the lines that there is no default mail client. I am testing Toaster now and getting no where.

Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannon fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

Is Toaster capable of actually handling mail other than html links?

If not, how about Zimbra Desktop?

Essentially we have 100 computers which do not need MS Office and setting up all those users with Outlook Express scares me. What can I do to have an actual mail client which works?
