Default "No data in server statistics" and zmmsgtrace issues resolved?

This morning I *believe* I resolved an issue with the Zimbra logger that prevented zmmsgtrace from working, as well as the dreaded "No data available" message in the Admin console. Turns out that after an upgrade to OE 5.0.11, the /opt/zimbra/log/logswatch.pid file was stale, and had the PID of a previous instance of the process to be watched. Renaming that file, and doing a "zmcontrol start" resolved that, and now I beleive I have the logger process watching the right process.

My question is: how long until I see new data in the console? Is there a command that I need to run to have the logger "catch up" and process all of the data it should have processed since the 7th (the day it stopped logging)?

Or am I wrong, and in fact have not resolved anything?
