Default Implementation of autofs / automount / posix w/ZCS

I have followed and submitted a post to the following location:

Automount with Zimbra

So far, I am still able to do everything i need to with both posix and samba as far as authentication is concerned. Does anyone have any insight on how to automount posix user directories against ZCS LDAP configuration?

Server is Ubuntu LTS Server
Client is Ubuntu 8.10

End result so far is: When I login locally I see no home directories.

This would probably be better directed to the Ubuntu forums. We would be gratefully if two year old threads were not updated aswell please Please copy the relevant information and open a new thread.

Default I disagree

I disagree. I have everything I need, for Ubuntu, from the Ubuntu Forums.

What I do need is: How to define mount points and home directories path using Zimbra LDAP so that I do not store user's home directories locally.

The post from a couple years ago provided good information which enable the insertion of automountfs information when I create posix accounts using the admin console

Thank you,

I think you would need to update the ZCS LDAP schema to hold that information which would not be recommended as it would be wiped on the next upgrade. You may be better configuring a external LDAP source.
