Question Forwarding emails with embedded pictures

When forwarding emails with embedded pictures, ZWC doesn't seem to update it's link to the picture (so that the recipient can view it). It just sends the old link. Does forwarding embedded pictures work for anyone else? Is there something I'm missing? I could see how this could save space if the link was updated for the new recipient, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

to get around it you can do 'include original as attachment'

This bug is #31535 I think but it is marked as private i'm not sure why. can any developer give teh status on this?

No news about it ? It's a point that some of our users pointed out, and I would like to have an answer to give them

This has been a persistant issue over several releases. We currently run NE5.0.11 on Ubuntu 6.06. It is a very strange issue in some cases the image arrives in other cases the image does not, however when we forward a message with missing images to an outside email yahoo, gmail etc the email appears correctly with the images...

We have been using Zimbra for over a year, and have taken LOTS of flak for this issue. (as well as other web client oddities) Ultimately it will become a deal breaker if not resolved. The management has already started researching alternatives claiming lost productivity.

I am just letting it (5.0.12) "mature" a bit since some of the past upgrades have introduced some other "features" that were just as strange. One that comes to mind is the "sort on from" issue...

Superhero does sound good though!

Was this fixed in 5.0.12? Or is that sarcasm?

I'm having the same issues with 5.0.11 on Mac OS X (10.4).

Default forwarding embedded photos

The last reply was simply "its fixed" BOY DO I WISH YOU WERE RIGHT!!! I started using Zimbra about a month ago and believe my, forwarding embedded pictures is definitely still an ongoing problem. I love the program but may have to change because of this since I forward photos a great deal. I'm really hoping someone has the magic remedy they can share with me.
