Test server Zimbra replication

I'm working on upgrading my production 4.5.3 GA to 4.5.11 GA in anticipation of migrating to ZCS 5.x (latest and greatest commercial version).

I've procured a test server and installed a clean version of 4.5.3 onto it. Now i want to replicate the production environment on the test server in order to simulate the upgrade to 4.5.11 first in a test environment before I do it in my critical production environment.

What dirs do i need to replace on my test server from the production server to set-up a viable test environment without creating any conflicts between test and prod environments? I'm afraid, for example, to backup prod and restore to test for fear that this will create conflicts on my network. Thus, I don't want to restore anything with IP or hostname info, for example.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

what do i need to clarify or be more specific about to get a reply on this issue?

can i simply do a backup on my prod system and then restore to test, or is there more tweaking i need to do?
