Attachment Storage

Hello,
I have been working on rolling out a Zimbra installation and have come across a minor situation that I think needs some clarification. In the Zimbra docs, under the heading "Message Store" it states that, "A message that is sent to multiple recipients who have accounts on one mailbox server are stored only once in the file system." I sent a message with an attachment to three users who reside on two different message store servers. The message and attachment were stored in all of the users mail directories on both sotre servers, not just once per server. Am I reading this wrong or is my test flawed?
