Default Restore messages after a crash

After a server crash, we made:
1) a backup of the index and store directories;
2) restored zimbra with a previous-day properly-functioning-system-state backup (migration-like procedure);
3) copied back the store and index directories.

Unfortunately, all users can now "see" only those E-mails arrived before yesterday (the day on which we made the system-state backup used at step 2)), that is, they cannot "see" all yesterday E-mails although these ones currently are in the right place (correct users' directories store and index).

Is there any easy way to teach zimbra about their existence?

Thanks in advance,
Adolfo

I guess the new messages are not in the database, since you just copied them.

Don't know if it is possible to get them into it.

Thanks, Bill!!!
Could you please give me the exact syntax for zmlmtpinject?
The one at the thread you quoted me is a bit cryptic to me.
For instance:
Why the sender and the recipient fields should be different as you are restoring the message of a single user?
Why the directory is not "store", but some "location"?
Is it the source or target directory?
Did you (zimbra team) inserted a new Zimbra header by which it is possible to set also the "sender to me" problem as the date one is solved by "X-Zimbra-Received" header?

Thanks,
Adolfo
