Share documents, HELP, please!

I`m having problem to share a document from an internal user to another who is using and external pop3 account such as gmail.

What can It be, it have to modifie some configuration maybe?

Without any information such as operating system, Zimbra version & release, error messages you see or from the log files it's difficult to give you any advice.
