Default downloading mails with fetchmail or with ZCS built in fuctions ?

Hello,

we are going to test install ZCS in a non direct mail delivery environment.

At the moment we are downloading mails with fetchmail/POP3 stored at different
email-accounts at different ISPs to our main account (e.g. info@mycompany.com)
to our internal mail-server.
It should work the same under Zimbra.

Question:
is there a built in functionality for such a scenario or should we setup fetchmail
on the Zimbra-host?

Thank's a lot for any help!

John

You can use Fetchmail to download mail to the Zimbra server or you can use the 'external account's function. Polling external accounts is set-up on individual mailboxes via the user preferences, obviously fetchmail will dump mail into Zimbra for all the users. Search the forum for details on how to use external accounts and for set-up details of fetchmail.
