Default can't send mail from external account

hi all,

i have an external account setup, however when i reply to an email recieved on this account, or when i explicity set it as the 'sending account' when creating a new email, the email is still sent using the primary account.

any help is much appreciated.

You need to set-up the detail in the user preferences/Persona, have you done that?

thanks for replying Bill.

there is already an imap account there so adding a persona doesn't seem intuitive to me, but i tried anyway.

the problem is that From email address is hardcoded to her primary account address. the box is greyed out and i can't specify to use the 2nd imap account (libertynoodle.com).

screenshot attached.

any ideas?

You need to set the option 'Allow sending email from any address' in the Admin UI/COS/yourcos/Preferences/Sending Mail - then try again.
