Default Log Files, conversations etc

Hi,

I'm a new zimbra administrator, liking it a lot, thanks )

Due to how my existing setup was, i ran hmailserver as my exposed smtp and relayed this to my real mail server (now zimbra).

I've got used to being able to interogate the log files for hmailserver and I can see all conversations etc, which is good when end users come to me and complain about emails not getting through.

I'm interested in removing hmailserver and exposing zimbra as main smtp.

Thing is, i've looked at what logging is available in the /opt/zimbra/log folder and its not what I was expecting.

Also, i set up a share for ./log so i can reach is from the network (instead of a vnc session), but i get access denied on the log file (must be a permission's thing, but i dont want to change anything on the zimbra directory really).

Can make zimbra produce log files detailing all conversations etc?

Thanks

Neil

Have a look at /var/log/zimbra.log.
