Default Allow zimbraAdmin over http

Hi!

I would like to allow zimbraAdmin over http. I have looked through the forum and wiki but haven't found how to do it. Any pointers? It shouldn't be that difficult, eh?

No, you really don't want an Admin UI to be available via http - it's not very secure.

Hi Bill!

Thank you for a quick response, however I just asked how to do it, not if it's a good idea.. That's a whole other topic! But in the interest of not giving unsuspecting lurkers any bad ideas, I'm obviously not going to expose the Admin UI over http on the internet. I have a proxy in front, http will only be within the same server, with firewalls stopping the ports.

Same here, I have already found how to reverse proxy the mail application:
reverse proxy zimbra
But I'm fine with it running where it is. I just want the admin application to be under the same umbrella where all other admin applications are, and that umbrella is an Apache Proxy, already providing HTTPS.
So are there any news in this deparment?

Looking through the mess of Jetty configs (I'm saying mess because I'm not very savvy with Jetty), it could be easy enough....
