Zimbra configuration for gmail address

I want to enter zimbra to read the mails from an account I have in gmail.
How can I can configure zimbra to manage my gmail addres from zimbra.

Preferences -> Accounts -> Add External Account.

I get generic test failure, why can it be?

What settings are you using for the server etc to connect too ?
