Default Retry Time

When I send an email that has delivery issues, can I set a time interval so that it doesn't keep trying to send for days?

For example, if I send a message to user@domain.com and their mail server is down, can I set Zimbra only to attempt delivery for 24 or 48 hours?

You would need to modify postfix, make sure to use the postconf command when making changes so that they're preserved across restart.

the paramaters you want to modify are best explained here

edit: errr... yeah uxbod's link is much better
