Don't know. Sounds like the filter is either truncating the message or not handling SMTP transparency correctly. Are these the directions you were following:

Adding a disclaimer (altermime) or footer - Zimbra :: Wiki

If you find a mistake in the instructions, please follow up so that we can correct them.

Sorry about the delay in replying. Turning off the disclaimer resolved the truncating issue lessened the immediate need of a fix.

I did use the wiki you referenced for adding the disclaimer with the following differences:

Step 4 - I did NOT create a filter user
Stop 5 - I created the directory /opt/zimbra/var/spool/filter
chown zimbra.zimbra
Step 6 - I used "user=zimbra" in master.cf (two IP address version)
Step 8 - My disclaimers are differenct
Step 9 - in /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/disclaimer, I have the following differences:
- INSPECT_DIR=/opt/zimbra/var/spool/filter
- I commented out --xheader="X-Copyr... because I couldn't get it to work with it in.

With the disclaimer turned on, I get the truncation by sending the following email (copy and paste) from userA@domain.com to userA@domain.com. I am using the advanced zimbra client on FF 3.0 on XP Pro.

Code:
Will,

Attached is our rate sheet that is good through the end of 2008. We are currently investigating price increases that will likely be effective 1/1/2009.

I'm sure there is a way we can work together in a way that is mutually beneficial. There are several ways that we can justify pricing discounts:

   1. Guaranteed minimum levels of invoicing.
   2. Guaranteed minimum quantity of hours.

Hours at your office, in Roanoke, would be invoiced at the same rate as hours at our office.

We are happy to discuss these and other scenarios with you.

Thanks,

Will,

Ron has been very busy with M. I'll look into your request and get you something by the end of the week. I apologize for the delay.

I'm assuming that you guys are interested in the rate request that I sent. I admit the jobs will be very small and hardly worthwhile for you. But we really want to use you and will pay just about any price.

Thanks

in the disclaimer script you need the -i option when calling sendmail

Quote:
-i When reading a message from standard input, don't
treat a line with only a . character as the end of
input.
