[SOLVED] Remove Feature Emailed Contacts

Hi all,

How can i disable the feature of Emailed contacts?
I did not find anything about this here..

There is a checkbox for disabling that feature in the web client. Go to the Address Book tab under Preferences and uncheck the box that says 'Add new contacts to "Emailed Contacts"'.

zmprov mc COSname zimbraPrefAutoAddAddressEnabled FALSE
Or just for one account:
zmprov ma user@domain.com zimbraPrefAutoAddAddressEnabled FALSE

Note that there we're some corrections to this (to get it more completely hid) in Bug 25038 - Remove 'Emailed Contacts' folder and functionality (private for velodrome but code is in 5.0.10+)

You can either do as mmorse said just a few minutes before you posted, or *I think* the option is called "Enable automatic adding of contacts" under the COS Preferences tab in the admin console.

Slight correction to my earlier post, there's no corresponding zimbraFeature (to control access for the zimbraPref), but you're welcome to file an RFE for a zimbraFeatureAutoAddressEnabled.

That velodrome bug for comcast was about hiding all other address books but the one 'Contacts', disabling the emailed contacts folder on edit address books page when appropriate,plus not even showing the pref in options though skin work (which you can do in your own if really desired), and removing the ability to create any new address books that's controlled by zimbraFeatureNewAddrBookEnabled (< which is where I read too fast).

Just to clarify: currently there's no way to entirely disable "Emailed Contacts" - ie so that users do not have this addressbook at all?

Just to be sure I haven't misunderstood before filing an RFE as suggested.
