Default Zimbra nginx HTTP proxy initial page response time

Wow, that title was a mouthful.

Basically I was wondering what other people are seeing as the response time from the server for the initial Zimbra page? We monitor all our equipment via Zenoss and one of our checks is the HTTP check to check response time and page size. Page size is not a big deal, but response time is since the slower the response, the slower the user experience. So from a standard commercial line (ie Cable, DSL) what type of response time are you guys getting?

God Bless,
Marty

Just made a quick test on a customer's server.

Connection to the internet (for this customer) is 10 Mbps fiber.
zimbra-proxy is in DMZ (mailstore on the LAN).

I'm on DSL, arround 6 Mbps.

Getting the login page, using https, between half a second and one second (tested with Safari, FF3.1 and IE7).

How about from a pure connection standpoint? For example our Zenoss connection ranges from 180ms to 350ms. Can you get this information?

God Bless,
Marty

I have an average 160ms to their firewall.
But right now, the average ping to my nexthop is 100ms (bad DSL line).

Firebug 1.3b says I'm between 600 and 800 ms for the initial GET answer (not connection time, answer from GET) and the page is fully loaded after 0.8 to 1.2 second.
