Default Some questions

Hi,

Unfortunately i cant find such document that can help me to manage my incoming/active queues. But i find out the following answers of my question from different location, please correct me if i am wrong and give the answer which i dont know

1) Check incoming/active queue status through command line, qshape command give limited information.

2) To Increase incoming/active queue size
postconf -e 'qmgr_message_active_limit = 20000' (active queue)
postconf -e 'default_recipient_limit = 20000, (incoming)

3) In zimbra log i can only see the massage id, but i want to see the message subject.

4) Increase outgoing connections

5) Increase Spam and virus process

We are going in production and we still cant find answer of theses questions.

Thanks
Mudasar

Why do you believe you need to increase these values away from the defaults ? How many messages are you going to be processing ? Have you had a read through Performance Tuning Guidelines for Large Deployments - Zimbra :: Wiki aswell ?

Thanks for your reply,

Our current mail server received 50K+ mails per day.
I got most of the answer from this documentation

The only question that i have left is

In zimbra log i can only see the massage id, but i want to see the message subject.

Thanks

Postfix does not show the subject in zimbra.log or indeed in maillog on other systems. You could get the message ID then query the ZCS log database. Why do you require the subject anyway ?

HI,

Thanks for your quick reply,

We are using Qmail and you can see the mail subject in its maillogs. If you can search the mail with subject it is very easy to find the mails.

There might be some switch in log4j. is it?

Thanks.
