Default Build just LDAP package or use alternate LDAP installation

Is there a simple way to just rebuild the LDAP part of Zimbra and integrate it with an otherwise binary installation. Or, perhaps can you use a non Zimbra LDAP version with Zimbra? I'm testing out on SUSE 10.1 beta, and there are problems with the binary packages SSL library version requirements.

    Hi

    Welcome to the forums.

I'm sure you know already that a Beta O/S and Zimbra isn't a supported configuration. Why are you trying Zimbra on this o/s?

I also wouldn't suggest trying to integrate another LDAP server into Zimbra, why don't you post details of the problems you're having and the Zimbra guys might give you some pointers when they get in later today.
    Regards

I wanted to see if I could get it to go, as this OS has several features I was interested in. It looks like trying to force Zimbra to work is going to be too much of a problem, though, I was just hoping there were simple instructions for building the individual components out there somewhere.

The main problems were that the new OpenLDAP in SUSE 10.1 uses different SSL libraries, the the version from Zimbra wants to use the old ones.

For now, I've just moved back to SUSE 10.0 for my testing, it's not a major issue.
