Post auto purge sent items

Can anyone point me to info/docs on how to setup automatic purging of SENT items folder for all users? I have our trash and junk/spam purging at 2 days via COS, but there is no option that I have seen to take care of this for sent items 9at a global level). Since this counts again the user's quota, we need to make this email go away after a few days. Thank you in advance for any guidance........

su - zimbra
zmprov mc COSName zimbraPrefSentLifetime 30d

or
zmporv ma user@domain.com zimbraPrefSentLifetime 30d

-There's currently no corresponding zimbraMailSentLifetime to enforce a min value at the admin level, but as it's not exposed to users yet anyways you can treat it as such.
Bug 31507 - Expose mailbox purge settings in web client

The actual purge is dependent upon zimbraMailPurgeSleepInterval (new default is 1m to purge ~1440 accounts per day - it's a continuous thread that's much better than the crontab entry used in 4.5.x for purge during the night which created high load.)

Mike, thank you for the reply, so in the command:

su - zimbra
zmprov mc COSName zimbraPrefSentLifetime 30d

30d represents 30 days? I might set to 14, so 14d, is this correct?

Any knowledge if this will eventually make it to the admin interface like purge trash and junk in a future release?

Hi, is there any chance that the 6.0 beta now exposes the user folder purge settings in the user webmail interface, or is this still on the to-do list?

Otherwise I shall try to drum up support for Bug 31507...

That RFE's still open. May also wish to vote for Bug 6229 - Individual Folder Max Messages and Max Lifetime & Bug 12131 - Set folder property to not be included in the system-wide "E-mail message lifetime" purge (All 3 are slated for Helix, not GnR.)

Thanks Mike, but is it correct that Bug 31507 is the only one that deals with allowing end users to specify their own set of folder auto-purge settings, whereas the other two RFE's that you mention deal with giving the admin additional purge settings in the admin console?

BTW pardon the question, but if Guns N' Roses is now v6.0 (general availability slated for this summer), then is Helix supposed to be v7.0 (presumably coming sometime in 2010)?

I wanted to clarify because I'd read this other post saying that Helix is v6.0:

31507 is for exposing about 5 already available preference attributes to end users for inbox unread/inbox read/sent/junk/trash, which are mostly in the admin console at present. (Someone could Zimlet it in the meantime.)

6229 is aimed at end users as well, with maximums set by the existing 3 limiting attributes (all/spam/trash) - I don't see us creating a set of admin controllable limits for every folder.

12131 would have to have some kind of on/off I suppose, like ZimbraMailPurgeBlockEnabled.

Were skipping 5.5 designation:
Gnr 6.0
Helix 6.5
5.5 is now 6.0
Names for the next version
