Default Button text not being displayed

I just upgraded from 5.0.7 to 5.0.10 and now have a minor display issue.

The words next to the tool bar buttons (new, get mail, delete, etc.) disappear in Internet Explorer. Attached is a screenshot comparing Firefox 3.0.3 to Internet Explorer 7.

Has anybody filed a bug report for this? I can't find anything, but the wording is rather ambiguous to search for.

What screen resolution is this? Has anyone searched bugzilla or filed a bug report?

Thought I filed this bug before, must be hallucinating. Here's a fresh bug report to vote or comment on.

Maybe this helps:
I was using Safari on a Mac, and the text was not there when I logged in. So I hit the REFRESH key and they appeared after the reload.

Thanks,

Ed

I noticed this too and filed a bug report. Labels worked in FF, but not I.E. until I resized the window.

Bug 38054 – Buttons labels missing until resize of window

I tested IE6 and 8 to verify resizing makes text visible. Refreshing does not however.

I notices that the buttons are "intelligent". They display the text if they have enough space (width) and if they do not, they just display the button without the text. If you rezise the width you will notice...

Here goes my theory:
It seems to me that at "first lauch", right after login in, the code calculates incorrectly the width, hence text is not being display. Maybe a variable not initialized propperly o MS changing the name of the parameter, who knows. That would explain why rezise fixes it.

Thanks,

Ed
