Default Removing local passwords

I'm getting ready to deploy a new Zimbra server - migrating over from Kerio. In both scenarios the mail server is authenticating to our Active Directory domain.

My plan is to move all e-mail over via imapsync. The only problem is that it requires the account passwords, which are known only to the users. I can work around that on the Kerio side, but for Zimbra I was thinking about creating dummy passwords for all of the accounts. It appears that the system will then authenticate against either the local or AD password. The only problem is that after I am done, I want to remove those passwords.

Is there anyway to do that without it balking that the password is too short?

Using

Code:
zmprov setPassword name@domain.com password
doesn't complain about it being too short.

You can probably even use

Code:
zmprov setPassword name@domain.com ""
to set it to nothing.

Awesome! Thanks. I must have had the options wrong or not used the proper capitalization because it kept balking. Using the doublequotes does, in fact, remove the password.

Now I can set everybody's to a simple password for importing mail and then wipe them out when done.

I did similar to the same thing; but I'm not using Active Directory, so I just set the passwords to their actual passwords after the import.
