Default Seems like you're right...

Looks like bug 4115 got regressed at some point. I'll try to get this fixed.

How do we get 4.5?

The downloads page says the latest release is 4.0.4.

You can download the 4.5 beta from the same site that hosts the 4.0.4 downloads. 4.5 is expected to go GA (general availability non-beta release) in January 2007.
