Fixed in 4.5. If you're still using 4.0.*, consider either renaming the source folder to not have leading spaces or excluding the folder from imapsync:

--exclude     <regex>  : skips folders matching this regular expression

How do we get 4.5?

The downloads page says the latest release is 4.0.4.

You can download the 4.5 beta from the same site that hosts the 4.0.4 downloads. 4.5 is expected to go GA (general availability non-beta release) in January 2007.
