    Default Instant Messaging Logs

    hi all,

    The chats with IM(Beta) are being stored/saved in the user personal mailbox, in the chats folder:

    Save chat history saves your chat transcripts. You can access saved chats in the Chats folder under the Mail tab


    But is it also possible to view them via the CLI ?
    That is as a log file, or within the DB ?

    They are actually stored as .msg files under /opt/zimbra/store. So basically as a normal email file. You can search for them using zmmboxsearch so you could potentially get the message ID and then find it in the store. I do not believe though a audit log is kept anywhere else.
