Standard (html) interface does not let user to write body message

Hi, we are using 5.0.9 GA Release and we hit either a configuration problem or a bug.
user go to https://webmail.domain.com and selects:
Which version would you like to use? Standard (HTML)
The user selects "compose", he can write to: subject: cc: but it cannot write in the body. he is using IE 7.
selecting ajax or mobile works ok.

Only workaround I have for this one, is to select the option in 'preferences' to compose new messages with plain text instead of html
