hi all..

I was wondering whats up with the TASK feature ?

At present i can add a task via the desktop client, but for the likes of me i cant delete the task..

on that same note ..

My new manager wants to be able to credit a task and email that said task to anyone that is on the zimbra box.. can this be done ??

I havent upgraded to 5.09 yet... still running 5.08..

i hope there is a solution to this.

What you could do is create a task list that is shared with everybody in your company. This way when somebody puts a task on there everybody sees it at once.

An alternative to this if your manager really wants to "email" the task they can create a task list, share to public and then send people a link to it. The only issue with this method is that it send out a .ics file and outlook doesn't appear to be able to handle it, although when I open it up in a text editor it appears to have all the relevant information so it is probably something broken in outlook.


For deleting a task you just click delete in the bar next to the edit button in the web client at least....not sure why it would be different in the desktop client.

All off our desktops use the zimbra desktop client

How can i share a task list ?

oh crap.. i see the option to share the task list in the web browser.. but not in the desktop client.. it isnt implemented in the desktop client yet
