Default Extending the contact schema to support birthday information

Hi,

Some of our users require the possibility to add birthday information
to their contacts, and to have this information displayed in the calendar.

Has this been implemented already, and if not,
is it posssible to extend the contact schema without
to much knowledge?

Please search. This is the 2nd question you've posted that is in bugzilla and been covered on the forums already.

I did, and none of the items showed an answer I was looking for.
The only answer I found was, add it to the note section.

Now I'm quite sofisticated enough to add it there myself,
but the question wasn't wether or not I can add it to the note
section, the question was if I can extend the schema

and I haven't found a reply to that, perhaps I'm using the wrong keywords to search.

And I didn't realize you use bugzilla for feature requests as well
http://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3923

Also, since this item is over a month old,
someone may already have come up with a solution
but not have had to the time to post it anywhere

hence the question.

But I must admit, that the reply time on this forum is faster
than any other open source project I've encountered, so thank you for that.
