Has anyone tried Zimbra with Google Chrome?

I've tried, essentially it works in Standard mode only.

Default Zimbra and Google Chrome - STD Mode only

I get the same thing. When I log in it pushes me to the standard html version of Zimbra. When I click on the advanced version link it takes me back to html again.

This is interesting because I thought google was trying to make a browser that would help improve the web 2.0 experience. Nothing against google, but I hope other Ajax and web 2.0 sites work much better.

I'm thinking Zimbra checks the browser type that is reported and if it is recognized it goes to Advanced, all other are forwarded to Standard. Adjust my thinking if I'm wrong, but would this be a minor edit we might be able to adjust in some config file?

Default Here's How to Bypass Browser Check

Want to test? Go for it!! Here's how to bypass the browser check

Code:
su - zimbra
zmmailboxdctl stop
Edit:
Code:
/opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/ZimbraWebClient/WebRoot/public/launchZCS.jsp
and comment out:
Code:
switchToStandardClient();
(around line 199)

Code:
rm -rf /opt/zimbra/jetty/work/*
zmmailboxdctl start
A few usual warnings:
1) Not supported, so if you bust it, it's your fault
2) Make sure you use a unix editor (not wordpad)
3) Do not rm -rf the work dir while jetty is running. You won't like the results
4) If something happens, and you totally bust it, rerun your installer with ./install.sh -s

Have fun! Report bugs so we can support it too!

Just tried this - everything seems to be working fine.

ZCS 5.0.8 on CentOS4; Chrome on XP SP2.

Thanks John, that works great (of course)
I'm posting this response from Chrome. Woo! aint I just the trend setter!

No seriously, it works but its clearly beta, if anyone wants to patch their install to make this happen, then go ahead, but please do ensure you have a backup before playing with the system files like this.

Works perfectly on a Zimbra Desktop install as well. Super fast, shame this came out so late in the YZD development.

Thanks John! Works perfect.

PS On zcs5.0.7 I had to edit /opt/zimbra/jetty-6.1.5/webapps/zimbra/public/launchZCS.jsp
