Default Shared Inboxes: can't delete messages

If I share inboxes among accounts the users are unable to delete messages from their IMAP desktop clients. Outlook, Thunderbird, Evolution ...
The error is: ... UID STORE failed.

As an example, I have an email abuse account. I share the inbox with 3 users. This allows all 3 to answer mail without sending duplicate responses. Perhaps, I'm doing something completely wrong *shrug*

It's not an IMAP purge issue ...

Using Release 5.0.0 on RHEL4 (maybe an upgrade in order?)

My search terms didn't come up with anything.

Can anyone help?

Does the same hold true in the web client?

I seem to remember having a problem similar to this in early 5.x releases. the problem was it not telling the account the message belogns to to trash it and it trying to trash it to your account. I never tried in a thick client only thin.

Of course you have it shared with manager rights right?

Works fine in the web UI.
I have it shared as manager.
I think you're correct about the trash, I even tried sharing the shared account's trash as well ... no luck. That seems to be the right direction ... just not sure how to fix.
